I love you. I won’t lie that I haven’t told anybody this line before. But at this moment, I love you. And all the moments to arrive, I want you to know that I will love you. Love has given me hope. And my hope has always been selfish. But love, I let it be pure. Pure and unconditional. I try to prevent it from the modernization, time has brought into it. Modern love demands me to be with you. To tell you how I feel by words that aren’t enough to explain. Modern love has bound me to chains. It tells me that as I express my feelings to you, I expect you to do the same.
“I love you.” I always thought it was an answer. But modern love has made it a question. “I love you. Do you love me?”
But I love you and I don’t expect a reply. I love you.

I enjoy the way you have written this. It made me think that yes “I love you” is often posed as a question even though the flat written resonance of the phrase is not questionable in nature. Nice!

Glad you liked it and that you could connect to it. I wrote it sometime ago, realizing how love has modified itself with time!

This is an interesting observation about love nowadays. Everyone expects it to be returned.

Human beings always make things more comlicated than they need to be – we only need to look around us to realise that. At its heart, love never changes, though perhaps our expectations of it do.
Lovely writing and thanks for the follow 🙂

A heart that finds the way to unconditional love, given and received… Is the heart that’s blessed.

Yes, I completely agree. But then, I do have the knowledge that there are only few hearts that are blessed!

Nicely said. I’ve always believed that true love is selfless love, expecting nothing in return. 🙂

WOW! This really resonated with me. I find it odd that the one thing most of us are longing and searching for is unconditional love, yet the moment someone actually tells you they love you, some of us can’t handle it. I am one of those people that have no problem expressing how I feel regardless if the feeling is mutual. I look at it this way: One day after they still not find what they are looking for, at least they know they were once loved. 🙂 Great post!
