Its the calmness that scares me,

The silence, that burns to infinity,

And all the whispers and rumours

it brings along,

They get on my nerves,

The blood across my veins

keeps chasing itself,

And the rays of the radiant sun

that penetrates me

and the darkness I see as I close my eyes

feels no different,

It haunts me,

When the beat of my own heart remains

the only thing, I can hear and feel.
